Hi! I’m Christina
Event planning didn’t start as a business idea for me — it started as a personality trait I never grew out of.
I’ve always been the one who wants everyone in the same room, snacks on the table, vibe just right. The unofficial host. The detail-noticer. The “wait, the timeline needs 12 more minutes here” person. Making people feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely taken care of? That’s my love language.
I get weirdly excited about the behind-the-scenes stuff most people don’t even notice — how a space flows, how a day unfolds, how lighting, layout, and timing quietly work together to make everything feel effortless (even though it absolutely was not).
Some people relax by watching TV.
I relax by reorganizing a run-of-show and color-coding a timeline.
It’s not stress to me. It’s fun. It’s calming. It’s just how my brain is wired — part creative brain, part logistics engine, fully in my element when there’s a little chaos that needs turning into something beautiful.
My Experience
I’ve had the joy of being part of all kinds of gatherings, from heartfelt, personality-filled celebrations to structured, big-picture events with a lot of moving parts and zero room for visible chaos.
I genuinely love the range. Every type of event has its own rhythm, energy, and puzzle to solve and figuring out how all the pieces fit together? That’s my favorite part.
Different events, different flow: same goal every time
A space that feels welcoming
Details that feel thoughtful, not random
A day that feels easy (even when it absolutely was not)
Here’s the honest part:
If you don’t want to plan it… I probably do.
Timelines? Love them.
Logistics? Let’s go.
Vendor coordination? My comfort zone.
Tiny details no one else noticed? Already handled.
I’m happiest in the behind-the-scenes role: organizing, adjusting, anticipating, and making sure everything runs smoothly so you get to actually be present at your event instead of managing it.
You enjoy the moment.
I’ll enjoy making it happen.
Events I’ve Worked On
I’ve supported and planned experiences including:
• Bridal and couples showers
• Milestone celebrations (birthdays, retirements, life moments)
• Symposium-style programs and professional events
• Corporate breakfasts and luncheons
• Community events and large gatherings
• Styled social gatherings and hosted celebrations
How Dahlia Events & Co. Came to Be
I’ve always been the person who somehow ends up planning the trip, organizing the gathering, or turning a “what if we…” into a full-blown experience.
At first, it wasn’t a business idea — it was just… me. How I’m wired. Then people started asking for help, and I had that moment of, oh wait — this isn’t just a skill, this is something I genuinely love.
There’s something kind of magical about taking a tiny spark of an idea and turning it into a moment people actually remember — the kind where the room feels good, the flow makes sense, and everything just works. That’s the part that lights me up.
That’s how Dahlia Events & Co. came to be.
Not because I needed another job — but because creating experiences is where I feel the most alive.
This is my creative outlet. My passion project.
My excuse to play with design, details, and logistics in a way that brings people together with intention, beauty, and just the right amount of behind-the-scenes magic.
The Other Side of Me
By day, I serve as an Executive Director, leading a nonprofit centered on community impact, mental health, and suicide prevention, work that truly matters to me. It shapes how I think, how I lead, and how I show up for people in every space I’m in.
That role means I live in the world of moving pieces, big responsibilities, and a lot of coordination and I’ve learned how to stay calm when things are shifting, organized when things get busy, and intentional about the experience people are having, even when they never see all the effort behind it.
Event planning is just where that same energy gets to be creative.
It’s basically my brain in its favorite mode — details, people, flow, and just enough creative magic to make everything feel thoughtful and seamless.
I genuinely love helping people create moments that feel easy, welcoming, and just a little extraordinary; the kind where you don’t have to think about what’s happening next… because I already am.
